Professional Achievement |
I am most proud of the families I have represented and the agents who I have inspired. Besides the many families I have had the privilege to represent, my work as an industry thought leader and my work on Keller Williams' Agent Leadership Council (ALC) and the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) have been my biggest accomplishment. In 2019, I joined the ALC and became the Technology Co-Chair, rolling out our new proprietary database, COMMAND, (CRM, CMS, Compliance) to approximately 500 agents and teams that had various CRMs and other databases. This was a huge undertaking and took 2 years to fully implement transitioning data programming through classes, workshops, and technical support. In 2020, during the pandemic and the summer of the George Flloyd protests, our office underwent an evolution of the mind & heart and we began to have conversations on ZOOM about race and other social justice issues. I was part of a Social Equity Task Force assigned to discovering some of the inequities in our real estate industry and to recommend policy changes. Our small committee quickly began conducting surveys, workshops, meetings, and other discovery mechanisms to identify some of the ~isms that impact our franchise and real estate industry. From that Minhvestigation, we found areas of improvement and implemented policy & procedural changes to the office to ensure the protections and empowerment of every single agent, no matter their race, gender/sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or ability. The Social Equity Task Force became a full Diversity & Equity Inclusion (DEI) committee on the ALC and has implemented transformational programming over the last 3-4 years. In the last 2 years, I have been the Finance Chair of the ALC and have implemented programming on topics such as Profit & Loss(P&L), S Corp/QA incorporation, Financial Consultants workshop with Northwestern, Tax Prep Workshop, Finance Organization Planning & Systems, Profit Share class, Money Management and Budgeting. As Secretary of the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) in Greater Philadelphia, we have organized and coordinated community events, homeowner education, the Diversity & Fair Housing Summit (DFHS) in Washington DC, National Conventions, AREAA Eats, Commercial Real Estate Series, & other programs and initiatives. He was Program Director of April 2024's Fair Housing Symposium & Expo. It is empowering not only to close deals and sell houses, but to be part of a bigger movement of change & transformation.

I was born in South Vietnam, close to the Southern Capital of Saigon. Saigon is one of the fastest growing cities in Southeast Asia, and has become a popular tourist destination. The government of Vietnam has passed legislation over the last decade to increase foreign investments into Vietnam. Due to its geo-positioning on the Mekong Delta and its trade partnerships with other Asian countries and the United States & western countries, Vietnam has created a robust economy after the Vietnam War (1965-1975). I am a trained modern & West African Dancer and have trained at Boyeur College of Music & Dance Temple University, performed in MFA Thesis concerts & university shows, American College Dance Festival (ACDFA), apprenticed at local dance studios and companies, and have danced in all of my listings. I am also a Judge of Election in Philadelphia's 40th Ward, defending democracy and protecting the right of every citizen to vote. Lastly, I am a USTA National Champion and have been playing tennis since high school. I majored in International Business/Law and Dance at the Fox School of Business and Boyer College of Music & Dance at Temple University & Temple Tokyo. Real Estate is an international business. Every country has a real estate industry and a major part of any country's infrastructure and GDP is the real estate economy. During college, while searching for my identity and finding opportunities to improve my Vietnamese fluency, I volunteered and then worked at the local chapter of a National Nonprofit Organization serving the Vietnamese community. There, I developed programming for the nonprofit community center on topics around education & workforce development, anti-biased violence initiatives, community development, social justice, & housing equity. From this experience, I found the motivation to continue doing work in the community in any way I can. There were multiple blizzards in February 6 years ago and while trapped inside my apartment, I went onto Kaplan online virtual school and passed my real estate course & Proctor Exam in less than a week, aced the National and state examinations in the 2nd week, interviewed with brokerages in the 3rd week, onboarded to Long & Foster in the 4th week, & was Under Contract on my 1st deal by the end of the 1st month of my real estate journey. I had friends and family that were in the real estate industry and I wanted to have a piece of the American Dream in the land of the free and the home of the brave. Real estate is an industry and community made up of people from all walks of life, from all occupations, all cultures, all socio economic & political backgrounds. We literally change people's lives every single day. Real Estate is the most complex legal transaction and for many families, the largest financial investment for long term legacy wealth building. Real Estate is also metamorphic and requires creativity, which I have gained from my dance training in modern dance & West African. I am known as the Dancing Realtor & if you see a Realtor doing pirouettes on a rooftop in Philadelphia, it's probably me.
