When my wife and I purchased our first home in 2012, it was the realization of many years of hopes and dreams, and changed my life for the better in so many ways. It was that experience that got me thinking about just how I might be able to help bring about meaningful changes in the lives of others, and I decided to become a real estate agent. I didn’t realize it at the time, but the wide variety of skills required to excel in real estate made it a career path perfectly suited to my nature.
My mission from the start was to help members of underserved populations become homeowners. Whether we like it or not, we live in a nation where property ownership is the easiest path to stability and wealth. I know that if I can get someone into their first home, it can give them a leg-up towards a better life. As a member of the queer community, I also know first-hand the relief that comes with having a safe space that is completely your own!
