Brandon Byrd is a Senior Mortgage Banker at Highland Mortgage with the Truth and Lending team. He has been a top producer in the mortgage industry for 20+ years and has experience with processing, capital markets, and closing departments giving him a broad understanding of every facet of the industry. He grew up in the business with his grandparents owning their own real estate brokerage and building companies. His father and stepmother are still active real estate agents, while his mother and stepfather still run a thriving Real Estate Appraisal company. It’s safe to say that this industry is in his blood.
Highland Mortgage is a 100% employee-owned independent mortgage company headquartered in Atlanta with offices from Naples, FL, to Washington, D.C., and everywhere in between, with a wide array of mortgage products. Independent mortgage companies like Highland Mortgage have unique attributes that allow us to offer fast appraisal turnarounds, loan approvals, and therefore, closings that can happen in 15 days or less. All of this allows you and your clients to shorten or waive contingencies making offers more competitive and more likely to be accepted the first time.
When you combine Brandon’s expertise backed by 100+ years of experience from the Truth and Lending team with Highland Mortgage, you get 5-star service levels on every deal, all of the time!
In addition to having more than two decades of experience, Brandon is also a graduate of the Xinnix Mortgage Academy, a training program specifically for loan originators. Even with his advanced knowledge and mastery of the business, Brandon prioritizes education, personal connection, and spending time communicating with agents, builders, and clients.
When Brandon is not working on helping buyers achieve their homeownership dreams, he spends his time with his husband of 22 years and their two dogs in East Atlanta, fixing up his Tiki Bar and tending to his orchids. You will likely find them working remotely from their motorhome, probably thousands of miles away, when they are not at home.
