The LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance has signed an annual partnership agreement with Truist Mortgage, according to Alliance CEO Ryan Weyandt. Truist will work closely with the Alliance to support LGBTQ real estate practitioners that work with the community and advance awareness of LGBTQ homebuyer needs.
“We are thrilled to welcome Truist Mortgage as an annual partner. This company is the best of the best and drive their support of the LGBTQ community through focused actions. We look forward to working with their teams,” said Weyandt.
Truist is the sixth largest commercial bank in the U.S. Through its mortgage division, Truist is the first national lender to back the Alliance as a corporate sponsor at the Partner level. The lender has a leading market share in many high-growth markets after a merger that combined BB&T and SunTrust. BB&T and SunTrust, both earned perfect scores of 100 on HRC’s 2020 CEI Index and are big supporters of the LGBTQ community.
“At Truist, our purpose is to inspire and build better lives and communities. We are committed to inclusion and diversity, both inside our company and in the communities we serve,” said Kay Marshall, Truist mortgage banking portfolio manager. “We stand with the LBGTQ+ community and our mortgage division is proud to support the efforts and activities of The LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance.”
