Bio |
My name is Léopoldine Farrington.
I am a Realtor à Coldwell Banker Realty in Annapolis.
Born and raised in France I grew up in Feyzin 15 minutes away from the amazing city of Lyon where I went to law school and obtain my Master.
Real Estate is a new chapter in my life, and I started my new career in 2019.
Real estate was one my career options when I went out of high school and I finally decided to go to law school.
I decided when arriving in the USA to take the time to raise my daughter and prepare myself for a new chapter in my life. This is when I signed up for online courses to prep myself for the Maryland Real Estate license exam.
I took and passed the test in April 2019.
At the age of 25 I decided to take a break I spend 6 months on the other side of France in another jewel of France: the city of Bordeaux. The 6 months turned into 16 years as I found there a job, new friends, a second family and more…
I worked 16 years for a financial company named at the time Cofinoga (Now BNP Paribas Personal Finance) and grew up within this company who gave me some opportunities that I was happy to seize and had several positions in this company.
My first position was within the collection department.
For 7 years I worked in collaboration with the lawyers to help them in the preparation of litigation files at first instance and before the court of appeal. It was the opportunity for me to built great relation with those professionals based on integrity, trust and respect.
After this first position I worked 3 years within the Internal Audit Department. My job was to give insurance to the board of the company that the activities were managed and done according to the law and the company policies.
I performed all 3 kind of audit which are: compliance audit, efficiency audit and full audit. I used to work within a internal auditor team that could go up to 8 auditor on one mission – including in the European subsidiaries of the company (England, Ireland, Poland and Denmark).
Following that demanding but rewarding experience my professional path leads me to spend after that 4 years within the legal department where on top of legal advice for the marketing services and work on customer contracts, I implemented a legal control plan and work for the customer service as well to
Due to a merger within BNP Paribas Personal Finance (BNP PF) I joined the General Inspection of BNPP for a year and before moving to the USA in 2017 I was a compliance officer for BNPP PF (anti-money laundering and terrorism financing).
All along my professional career my discretion, trustful, honesty, patience, objectivity, rigor, politeness or team spirit where appreciated by my managers and my colleagues.
