Howdy, I'm John C. McDaniel '96. I currently live in Caldwell, TX and have been in the real estate business since 1996 with some brief forays into retail, oil and gas, and law. I got my real estate license the first time in 1996 and worked in Austin, TX with Ave One. Ave One at that time was a boutique brokerage in Tarrytown and I had the privilege of being a licensed assistant for an experienced Realtor and developer. I learned so much from David and am so grateful for that experience. In 2000 I took some time off from working and attended Texas Wesleyan School of Law, now Texas A&M University School of Law. In 2003 we moved to Colorado after drawing Denver from a hat. While living in Colorado we started Mountain Lending Team, a boutique mortgage company in Evergreen, CO. We had found our niche. Working with clients from all walks of life and ensuring each transaction was handled with efficiency, clarity, honesty, and most of all equitably no matter the price point. We moved home, I am Texas native, in 2009 and started working for Keller Williams. That same year we moved to REMAX where we stayed until 2018 when we became license partners with Engle & Völkers. While with REMAX we were named to the REMAX Hall of Fame and recognized in 2016 and 2017 by RealTrends as top producers in the USA. We recognized in 2017 that we wanted something different from our work life and started shopping for a partner and found Engel & Völkers. We firmly believe that our market is ready for the global reach of Engel & Völkers, we love the premium service at any price point philosophy, we love the collaborative atmosphere that is cultivated, and we love the marketing pieces. LOVE! Most importantly the philosophy about luxury resonates with me deeply, "the true meaning of luxury has been lost and in may ways tarnished by excess and price. Luxury is simply the enjoyment of the best in life; an experience of beauty and knowledge; and the intimate relationship of context, comfort, and craftsmanship." That statement in an Engel & Völkers piece of literature convinced me that we had found a professional home. When not working I enjoy breeding, raising, and showing American Quarter Horses in the discipline of reining and can be found outside with the horses most of the time. If you're at a NRHA show, please look me up and I would love to get to know you over a hot cup of coffee.
