I have been a REALTOR® since 2015. I was a teacher before I earned my license. I have earned 8 real estate designations through the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). One that I earned, the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) is considered the gold standard for real estate professionalism. Désirée Ávila, B.A., M.A., Ed.D. (ABD), an accomplished, distinguished, cultured professional, and award winning former teacher, joined Charles Rutenberg Realty Fort Lauderdale, to offer her high-level professionalism, linguistic talents and analytical abilities to the people in her community that were interested in buying or selling real estate in South Florida.
Désirée uses her expertise in the real estate market to educate her clients and help them make highly informed decisions about their real estate transactions. Désirée recognizes that each and every client is unique and has unique needs. She dedicates her time, vast research experience, analytical acumen and outstanding professionalism to meet the needs of each individual client.
In addition to working hard on behalf of her clients, Désirée brings vast experience in working with people of different cultures and languages, an especially useful asset when working in South Florida. Désirée prides herself in connecting her clients with buyers and sellers from all over the world. Désirée has extensive training and broad knowledge of the local market, as well as in-depth knowledge and experience working with digital technologies.
Désirée continues to professionally develop herself every opportunity she gets. Recently she earned the Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI), the gold standard for real estate professionalism. She achieved the C2EX recognition of excellence by the National Association of Realtors® and earned her Seller Representative Specialist® (SRS) designation in order to complement her Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA) certification. She has also earned the Senior Real Estate Representative (SRES®), the Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource (SFR®), At Home With Diversity (AHWD) certification, Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource® (SFR) certification, and the Accredited Buyer Representative® (ABR) designation.
Désirée Ávila has a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a Master’s Degree in Latin American Studies from Florida International University. Désirée completed her doctoral studies in Educational Technology at the University of Florida in the Fall of 2014. Désirée is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, French and Italian.
