An Atlanta area resident since 2000, Barry relocated from Nashville to follow a career opportunity that would help him to better fulfill his dreams of a bigger and brighter future. His career spans multiple customer-focused fields, beginning with retail sales, hospitality, healthcare, legal, and finally landing at a former Fortune 100 corporate giant in Atlanta, supporting and representing his client’s information technology needs. It would be the Corporate world where Barry would fine tune his customer focus and leadership skills, successfully helping develop a new approach for support, putting the customer into center focus above all else. After more than 15 years in the corporate world, Barry decided it was time to change his life’s direction and refocus his entrepreneurial and customer service drive into a more self-directed career.
Following a path laid out before him by his mother’s multi-decade Real Estate career in Tennessee, Barry set-out to apply all he had learned over the many years to help his clients in and around the Atlanta metro area with successfully buying and selling real estate. Remembering the anxiety of signing his first purchase contract, Barry’s focus has been on helping first-time buyers navigate the pitfalls and challenges of buying their first home. Having spent tens of thousands of dollars on renovating two of his own properties, Barry has enjoyed providing renovation consultations to his Buyers and Sellers, helping to maximize their net profits during a sale, and sharing the hidden charm of an older home for his buyers interested in a “fixer upper”.
Barry holds the Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA) certification and has qualified for the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) designation from the National Association of Realtors. When not working with his clients, Barry enjoys relaxing by his pool with neighbors, family and friends, working on home renovation and gardening projects, entertaining as an amateur chef and bartender, traveling to tropical destinations along the Riviera Maya, and most important, enjoying quality time at home with his husband, Mark, and their family of four-legged, fur babies.
