Professional Achievement | Suzanne Feese was honored as the Top New Realtor for 2016 by the DeKalb Association of Realtors, an award recognizing the new agent who closed the most transactions in 2016. She joined Palmerhouse Properties in December 2015. Suzanne partnered with Barb Rowland in the Palmerhouse Decatur office. They work as a two-person team on all transactions to maximize service and value for all of their clients. In 2016, their first year as a team, Suzanne and Barb closed 66 transactions, with a sales volume in excess of $18 million (more than doubling Barb's volume from 2015). They were the #2 agents company-wide for Palmerhouse Properties in 2016, out of more than 1500 agents. HomeSmart acquired Palmerhouse house properties in Jan. 2021. Suzanne is focused on in-town real estate. Suzanne and Barb her life partner live in downtown Decatur at the Artisan Condominium. The Palmerhouse Properties/HomeSmart Decatur office also is located at the Artisan. Suzanne also has lived in Morningside-VaHi, Peachtree Park and N. Decatur intown neighborhoods since 1980. She also worked in downtown and midtown Atlanta for more than two decades as a law partner with King & Spalding. Suzanne graduated as valedictorian from Agnes Scott College (Decatur) in 1984 with a B.A. degree, double major in Astrophysics and Economics. She earned her law (J.D.) degree from Yale Law School in 1987. Following a one-year judicial clerkship with Hon. R. Lanier Anderson III on the U.S Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit, she joined King & Spalding law firm in Atlanta. She worked as an associate and equity partner with K&S for more than two decades, specializing in tax (both transactional and litigation). At K&S, she chaired the tax group for a number of years, and also served as the hiring partner for the Atlanta office. Following her retirement from K&S in 2009, Suzanne spent the next five years traveling the world, learning to play golf, sharpening her photography and cooking skills and volunteering. In other words, enjoying life after an extremely busy law career! She then moved to Decatur, met Barb and embarked on a second career in real estate. Suzanne was selected as one of the "Outstanding Young People of Atlanta" in 1999. She is a member of Leadership Atlanta Class of 2002. She served on the Board of Trustees of Agnes Scott College from 2004-2012, including three years as Vice Chair. Suzanne also served on the board of the Atlanta Women's Foundation for six years and chaired the board of the Georgia Center for Children (now Georgia Center for Child Advocacy). Suzanne co-authored "U.S. Taxation of Foreign Investment in U.S. Real Estate," BNA portfolio 912-2nd (2010). |
